CHART INDUSTRIES SELECTED BY AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS TO SUPPLY HEAT EXCHANGERS
Products Slated For The Qatargas II and RasGas (II) Plant Expansions

Garfield Heights, OH – June 14, 2005 – Chart Industries Inc. (OTC: CIDI.OB) Energy and Chemicals business group (“Chart E&C”) received two orders for large brazed aluminum plate fin heat exchangers (BAHX) from Air Products and Chemicals Inc. Both orders call for multiple units to be used in the processing of liquefied natural gas (LNG). One order fulfills part of Air Products’ contract with Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited (II) (“Qatargas II”), for its LNG Facility Expansion Project (Train V) at Ras Laffan, which will tap Qatar’s North Field. Qatargas II is a joint venture of Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil Qatargas (II) Limited. Shipment of the Qatargas (II) heat exchangers is planned for fourth quarter 2005.

Under a second order, Chart’s heat exchangers fulfill part of Air Products’ contract with Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Co. LTD (II) for Train VI at the RasGas (II) facility located in Qatar. Shipment for the RasGas (II) heat exchangers is planned for second quarter 2006.

The plate fin heat exchangers will be used in the nitrogen refrigeration system of Air Products’ new AP-XTM natural gas liquefaction process. Air Products’ AP-X LNG process production capacity is 50% larger than any other LNG plant currently in operation, and is positioned well for a continuing market trend toward larger LNG process trains.

Chart E&C designs and manufactures aluminum plate fin heat exchangers for a variety of applications with maximum design pressures of up to 2300 psig (pounds per square inch gauge). Chart’s heat exchangers have a long and successful track record in the world’s most demanding applications.
