CHART BIOMEDICAL GROUP ANNOUNCES 3% PRICE INCREASE ON CRYOBIOLOGICAL PRODUCTS

Garfield Heights, OH – August 29, 2005 – Chart Industries, Inc. (OTC: CIDI.OB) BioMedical Group announces adjustments to its price schedule for Cryobiological products. The 3% price increase is applicable to all orders received after October 1, 2005.

Over the past two quarters, Chart has recognized sustained escalation of energy and component part cost continuing to exert upward pressure on its price structure. The high surcharges associated with stainless steel and a 10% increase in the cost of aluminum are the major contributors to the price increase.

“As we renegotiate our supply contracts we have begun to see higher stainless steel and aluminum costs substantially affecting the cost of manufacturing our products” commented Steve Shaw, President of Chart’s BioMedical Group. Mr. Shaw went on to say, “As a result, we must increase our list prices by 3% effective October 1, 2005 to cover these higher material costs. This price increase will affect both our stainless steel and aluminum product lines.”
