NEWS RELEASE CHART ENERGY & CHEMICALS ADDS COLD BOX MANUFACTURING CAPACITY May 25, 2006 – Garfield Heights, OH – Chart Energy & Chemicals, Inc. ("Chart E&C"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chart Industries Inc., has executed the lease of a 100,000 plus square foot facility located on 21 acres, in Houston Texas. The facility is located on Greens Bayou and has direct access to the Houston ship channel. With 85 ft hook height in the main building, Chart E&C will have the capability of constructing the largest cold boxes and modules indoors. Chart E&C has provided cold box assemblies throughout the world from its USA locations for over 30 years. John Romain, President of Chart E&C, offered the following comments regarding the recent news. "The additional capacity at the Greens Bayou facility is intended to assure Chart’s customers of the continued level of supply necessary to meet their demands. The Greens Bayou expansion complements the existing 97,000 square foot, 20 acre cold box facilities located in New Iberia, Louisiana by allowing us to fabricate the largest of our cold boxes indoors and still load conveniently to large oceangoing vessels."
